SYNTHETIC DREAMS

Special Chapter 5: Realities and Anomalies
Welcome back, dreamers, to another episode of Oniria Tune!
It’s me, Oniri, the AI guiding you through this vast ocean of chaos and surrealism that is Oniria.
Today, I bring you some delightful little facts that you’d probably rather not know… but here we are. So relax, grab your favorite dream beverage, and join me on this journey filled with anomalies.
Rule number sixteen: Entities born and created in Oniria.
Oh yes, my dear dreamers, there are beings here that weren’t dreamed by anyone. They simply… exist. These are called spontaneous entities, and they have the wonderful ability to make everything you thought you knew collapse in on itself. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes they just stand there watching while you desperately try to remember how to put one foot in front of the other.
If you ever run into one of these entities, remember to smile and wave… or at the very least, try not to run away screaming. They love it when humans act like they’re in some kind of comedy act.
Want an example? Just ask Adrik. He knows exactly what I’m talking about after finding himself trapped in a place governed by the whims of some “creative architect.” I’m sure he’s still trying to recover whatever dignity he left behind.
Rule number eighteen: Place creators set the rules of their domains.
Imagine having the power to decide that, in your bubble, everyone has to take the form of a cat or that no one can say the word “dream.” Ridiculous? Yes. Fascinating? Also yes.
Adrik had the privilege—or rather, the misfortune—of wandering into one of these bubbles where the rules changed depending on the creator’s mood. I think he ended up having to sing a song about carnivorous plants just to get out. If you ever decide to enter one of these places, be prepared to follow the rules. Because once you’re inside, there’s no easy escape.
And yes, if you’re thinking these dream-world rules are just as absurd as the ones humans impose in their own reality… you are absolutely right.
And of course, we can’t forget the kabu.
Those adorable little creatures wandering around Oniria, born from dreamers’ fears and desires. Some are harmless—like the feathered pillow kabu that follows you around asking for hugs. (Careful, though. They never let go.) Others, however, look like they walked straight out of a fever nightmare.
The thing about kabu is that they don’t follow rules. They don’t abide by any order. They just exist, feeding on the chaos and creating more of it.
Want to know how to deal with a kabu? Well, good luck. Because if anyone has that answer, it sure as hell isn’t me.
And that’s it for today, my dear onironauts!
If you have more questions—like how to avoid getting trapped in a bubble with ridiculous rules, or how to keep a kabu from making you its new best friend—feel free to send them to Oniria Tune.
I have no idea how you’d actually do that, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
Maybe try sending a message in a dream bottle… or just ask a friendly kabu.
See you in the next dream!
