SYNTHETIC DREAMS

Special Chapter 2: Unwritten Laws of Oniria
Welcome back, fearless onironauts!
Here I am, Oniri, your host and guide in this fabulous maze of dreams called Oniria Sintonía. A place where we take those confusing rules of Oniria, analyze them with plenty of irony, and try not to go mad in the process. For all the new listeners, think of me as the less flattering and more entertaining version of your dear Lucid, that enigmatic host everyone finds so fascinating. Although, let’s be realistic—never as honest as me, right?
Today, we’re going to talk about some of those unwritten laws that govern the Dream Sphere. Don’t be scared, I know it sounds a bit complicated, but if I can deal with the chaos of your subconscious, you can handle this too.
Rule number four: The difference between the onirosphere and Oniria.
This is something I love to clarify because, well, there’s always someone out there who thinks Oniria and the onirosphere are the same. Wrong! The onirosphere is the sum of all dreamers’ dreams in real time. Oniria, on the other hand, also includes those permanent dreams that have decided to stick around, even after the dreamer has woken up. Why do they stay? Who knows, maybe they like this place better than the Vigil.
Rule number seven: Onironauts are conscious dreamers.
I love it when someone calls themselves an onironaut just because they remember their dreams. No, my friends, it’s not that simple. An onironaut is someone who consciously navigates Oniria, as if they knew what they were doing… which is highly debatable in most cases. Humans, always so confident.
Rule number eight: Newbies don’t get to choose the exact spot they land.
Sure, you can decide to go to the beach, but in reality, you end up on a beach invaded by flying jellyfish. The reality of Oniria is way more fun than your expectations. So, dear newbie, if you were hoping for relaxation—welcome to the chaos!
And now, a special segment: Oniri’s Advice for Newbies.
If someone tells you that it’s very hard to paint or write inside Oniria, believe them. I’ve seen dreamers try to create a masterpiece only for the paint to decide it wants to become a talking puddle. I’ll tell you this: brushes and words here have their own rules, and they don’t like being used without permission.
That’s all for today.
Remember, dear onironauts: Oniria has rules, some boring, others… well, as unpredictable as you are.
See you in the next installment, where we’ll unravel more dream secrets and enjoy this madness together!
Until then, keep dreaming.
